Depozīta Punkts: audited, taken over and moved to the cloud without downtime
Depozīta Punkts is Latvia's deposit return system for beverage packaging, run by SIA Depozīta Iepakojuma Operators, a private company owned by beverage producers and retailers. Its website is where people find return points and how the system works. Nevo audited the site's security, took over its maintenance from the previous vendor and moved it to dedicated cloud infrastructure while it stayed online.

What we did for Depozīta Punkts
A website people use across the country cannot be taken offline for maintenance, so the work ran in stages: security hardening, the vendor handover, then the migration.
Security audit against OWASP
We reviewed the application against the OWASP guidelines and fixed what the review found.
Input validation
User input is validated and sanitised on every endpoint.
Faster return-point map
We rewrote the queries behind the map of return points, so it loads faster.

Vendor takeover
We took over maintenance of the site from the previous vendor, with its code and documentation.
Cloud migration without downtime
The site moved to dedicated cloud infrastructure while it stayed online.
Personal data
We reviewed how the site processes personal data and brought it in line with GDPR.
